- The conditions in the trenches were horrendous
- If you were shot in 'No Man's Land" and survived, you would have to wait until they sent people to help
- The trenches aren't very big or clean
- Soldiers were sometimes required to dig holes in the wall so that they could sleep
- Rats would often bring sicknesses and steal food from the soldiers
- Medical aid isn't very effective
- The trench floor would be covered in water most of the time

Why do you think the idea of Conflict is more Prominent than Peace in the world?
I think conflict is more prominent than peace because conflict is something that happens everyday throughout the world. Wether between two people, a group of people or even countries fighting and arguing against each other. Trying to get the other side to stop or give up. However peace is something that does happen a lot, but not as much as conflict does because peace can easily be broken and conflict will start over again.

What is Conflict?
I think conflict is a state of either arguing with, and, or going to war against another country or organization.

Where Has Luharia Gone And Why?
With evidence that we have been given, Our group has come to the conclusion that Luharia has moved him and his family to the city. We worked this our with the statement, 'Now we are city dwellers. But I do not like it. I belong in my village. Do you think this is fair? They have flung us into the gutter here. Into this filth. Nobody thought about what would happen to us.' This shows that he has moved to the city but he is not enjoying it. We also think that the reason that Luharia has moved was because of how he believed in his culture and did what would best benefit society. This, and that he was a father and a husband. So he also had a family to look out for, and wanted the best for. He said that 'Ultimately in our culture we are taught that if it helps the society, then if you have to sacrifice a little bit of your own, do it gladly, willingly, smilingly.' However, we don't think that he left voluntarily because he also said that he was flung out into the gutter and into the filth.

The Fair Trade Mystery
We have chosen to categorize our work this way because we think that it fits the story best. We have also added sub-categories because we thought that the terms we were using was too general and could be elaborated more on. And the reason I think that Grace is happy is because, since her father has joined the Kuapa Kokoo they have enough money for her to buy a uniform and bring her to school. And luckily, she won't be 1 out of every 3 girls that don't get to go to school.

Measuring Development (Order of Diamond)
1. Which indicator do you think is the most important for measuring development? Why?I think that the 'Gross National Product' is the most important for measuring development because its important to know what the average person's income is so that an appropriate tax level can be given so that with the money, through taxes, can be used to make schools and other buildings.
2. Which indicator do you think is the least important for measuring development? Why?
I think that the least important would be '% people employed in agriculture' because even though it is more important than 'Car Ownership', it isn't as important as 'Gross National Product' or 'Infant Mortality Rates' because it only includes the farmers that make the food.
3. Explain the positions of the middle indicators.
I think that the number of doctors per person is important because then it decreases the death rate of a country since there is more health care available for people. I also think that 'Population Growth Rates' and 'Infant Mortality Rates' are important for controlling the population of a country.
4. Which indicator did you discard (not use)? Why?
We discarded the 'Car Ownership' because we didn't think that it wasn't important since there are other ways of transportation other then having your own car.
5. Is there another indicator you think would fit? Why?
I think that maybe another indicator could be 'Life Expectancy' because it shows the average life expectancy of a citizen and at what age they are expected to die.
6. Was it easy to make the decisions as a group? Why or why not?
I wasn't here that day but i agree with most of what they chose because they put the indicators in a similar position to what i would do.

Reflect on learning
Reflect about the "Hazards" fair
What went well?
- We managed to explain to everyone, that came to our station, about meteors and meteorites.
- We answered any questions that they asked.
What could have been better?
- We could have used the simulator from the start of the fair, instead of when the older people came.
- We maybe, could have chose a better station to put our presentation on.
- More posters or flyers.

- Maybe add a quiz instead or with the game.
Describe the experience
- It was a little awkward at first but, after the first few people, it got more comfortable and it wasn't as hard to explain the work we did.

Hazards - ELP
1. Tsunami
2. I chose Tsunamis as my topic because it is a natural disaster that happens more often then most of the others. It is also a disaster that I think would have more information and resources about it. So I think that finding and processing information should probably be easier to do. I also want to do this topic because I find how high a tsunami can get, very interesting.
3.
SC 1 - To be able to locate, understand and include relevant information about my topic.
SC 2 - To structure my work so that it is clear and readable.
SC 3 - To take relevant information and evaluate on it.
