ELP Reflection

In my project i think that i am on Explain moving onto Analyse because i have explained the features and how i got my idea. But i still have 3 targets in which i think i can improve on.

1. Read through my work and add or change words to describe my work.

2. To do estimate measurements or how big i plan the resort to be.

3. And finally to make sure my sure my description links with my design.

My answers for the questions in KN

I shared my Key Success Criteria's with my partner Ryan. However i have changed them to fit my project
They were...

 - Try to analyse it
 - Explain why we need Eco-Friendly Facilities
 - Explain the items and and how they help in my Eco - Resort

1. I have explained why we need Eco-Friendly facilities like the Eco-Resort. And have explained most of the items and how they affect my Eco-Resort and they surrounding people and places.

2. I've learnt that different environments require different idea that are creative while still being Eco-Friendly. And that everybody's picture of an Eco-Friendly future are all linked in ways that makes the world a better place.

3. I learned it because i needed to understand how the people affect the area which led me to my design of the resort.

4. I learned it by using Wikipedia and other websites to get understand what people wanted. And my mum helped me with designing my Eco-Resort to make it more comfortable.

5. I learned that i work at a pace that wasn't stressed about the ELP but also not to chilled throughout the whole assignment.

ELP Project :D

Humanities ELP - Reflection

For my Humanities project i worked with Ryan. We decided to work in a group but also work individually on separate tasks. He chose to make a Eco-House while i chose to make an Eco-City. However i changed my idea because i didn't like to think of a future city to be filled with lots of skyscrapers and cars. Even though the will probably be more advance and Eco-Friendly. That and the fact that making a city is A LOT if work :P

I design my idea by searching up some of the main problems we face in our goal of being eco friendly. I chose deforestation as one of the big problems we have and then decided that instead of cutting down trees to make house and other facilities, why not make tree houses or places that rest and rely on trees.

Then I had to link it to the topic of an ‘Eco-Resort’. So I designed a blueprint of what my resort would look like. This included a reception area with a coffee house and small pool, a main tree positioned close to the middle of the resort has restaurants and shops. And the tree is also connected to the 1 floor Tree-Top Chalets by bridges. Below there are 2 floor chalets that occupy most of the resort. To the North-West is a natural lake that will be a small space where people can see the different types of fish found in that area. There will also be another restaurant which will be located on the waters of the lake.

I have also decided to place my resort in India. This is because India has lots of trees and the area in which the resort is built in could also  become a reserve for wildlife and to preserve the trees. The Eco-Resort would be eco-friendly because it uses solar panels, skylights located on the top of the houses and their designs are built on a tree to help reduce deforestation.

My eco-resort should be visited mostly by the local population because they are closer to the resort rather then people flying across oceans to get to the place. And hopefully the local people should benefit from this because it does not destroy forests and saves the animals and different types of plant species.
